TWEC now operates as a three-star child care center.
What is star rating? The North Carolina Star Rated License Project was established as a way to better define the quality of child care in North Carolina and to assist parents in choosing quality child care. The North Carolina Division of Child Development awards the Star Rated License to child care centers based upon two components: program standards and staff education. Centers meeting minimum standards receive a one star rating.
The "three-star rating" reflects that our center meets higher voluntary standards in the following areas:
- Have completing operating and personnel policies
- Increase the number of activity areas in classrooms
- Higher square footage per classroom
- Reducing staff child ratios
- Have good or specified scores from an environment rating scale assessment
Our center also maintains the level of health and safety standards required by all licensed centers. We also carefully maintain proper child/teacher ratios at the voluntary enhanced level which is above the minimum standards required by the Department of Child Development.
TWEC is the largest religious sponsored childcare facility in Eden. We continue to incorporate a curriculum that is Christ-centered alongside our state approve curriculum. We also employ only qualified staff members. We view our services as a ministry, not only to your child, but to your whole family as well.
